Salt & Bone Jewelry was born from the shorelines of North Carolina, where my love for the ocean first took root. I grew up spending summers in Topsail, walking the beaches with salty air in my hair and sand between my toes, endlessly searching for shark teeth scattered along the surf. What began as a childhood pastime quickly became a lifelong passion—hours spent combing the shoreline, collecting treasures that connected me to the sea and its magnificent creatures.
Over time, sharks became more than just a fascination; they became part of who I am. Their resilience and beauty inspired me so deeply that I carry them with me permanently through tattoos etched on my skin. I am endlessly amazed by their ability to regenerate teeth—a never-ending cycle that leaves behind natural relics for us to discover. Unlike humans, whose teeth come only once, sharks provide us with these small pieces of wonder, reminders of their strength and mystery.
With Salt and Bone Jewelry, I transform those found shark teeth into handcrafted, waterproof 316L stainless steel pieces that carry both the wildness of the ocean and the artistry of the handmade. Each design is more than jewelry—it’s a story of the sea, of North Carolina’s coast, and of the deep connection I’ve always felt with nature’s most awe-inspiring predator.
From Raleigh to the shores of Topsail, this work is my way of sharing a piece of that coastline beauty with others—so you, too, can carry the ocean with you wherever you go.
